The Nobel Peace Prize-winning human rights activist, Tawakkol Karman, has expressed deep condolences on the death of the political leader and the exceptional figure, Mohammed Al-Sabry, who died today after a long struggle with illness in a hospital in the Egyptian capital, Cairo.

TIME has put the Nobel Peace Prize-winning human rights activist, Tawakkol Karman, among 100 Women of the Year, describing her as “the torchbearer of the Arab Spring”.

In 2011, human rights activist Tawakkol Karman became the first Arab woman, and second Muslim woman, to receive the Nobel Peace Prize, which catapulted her to become one of the world’s most renowned human rights activists.

Tawakkol Karman Foundation is organizing a global conference entitled "Post-war Yemen… A forward-looking Vision", scheduled to hold on March 7, 2020 in Istanbul with the participation of international personalities, researchers and activists.
