The Nobel Peace Prize-winning human rights activist Tawakkol Karman expressed hope for the new year being full of accomplishments and victories in favor of peoples over dictators and tyrants. 

In a statement on her official Facebook page, Tawakkol Karman wrote: “Happy new year to all of you! May God make it full of accomplishments and victories for the benefit of peoples in the face of tyrants and arrogant oppressors.”

Karman also expressed hope that the new year would mark a better condition for all humanity, and that Egypt would be freed from Egypt’s failed military putschist Sisi, Yemen from the occupation and guardianship of Saudi Arabia and the UAE and form all forms of coups and Libya from the rebellion of Haftar and the miserable Emirati-Egyptian intervention.

It is the year of great victories and achievements, Karman emphasized.
