CNN has ranked the human rights activist and Nobel Peace Prize laureate Tawakkol Karman among seven prominent and influential figures in the Arab world.

Peace and women’s rights activist and Nobel Peace Prize laureate Tawakkol Karman paid tribute to women everywhere on International Women's Day Wednesday morning, saying that “the future will be female” and that “there can be no future without women.” 

The human rights activist and Nobel Peace Prize laureate Tawakkol Karman said there is no dignity and freedom for any nation that oppresses women and deprives them of their inherent rights.

Today in the Turkish city of Istanbul, the human rights activist and Nobel Peace Prize laureate Tawakkol Karman met the well-known Syrian child Bana al-Abed, who gained a worldwide following tweeting the horrors of the siege of Aleppo. 

The human rights activist and Nobel Peace Prize laureate Tawakkol Karman has saluted women all over the world for fighting for freedom.

The Iran-affiliated Houthi militia in Yemen is a racial and fascist group that is worse and more savage than the Lebanese Hezbollah, said the human rights activist and Nobel Peace Prize laureate Tawakkol Karman.
