Yemen’ human rights activist and Nobel Peace Prize Winner has headed to the United States of America to receive 2016 Freedom Award granted by the National Civil Rights Museum. 

Nobel Peace Prize Laureate and human rights activist Tawakkol Karman has reiterated the call to stop the war, pursue the road of peace and abide by resolutions of international legitimacy with regard to Yemen.  

The human rights activist and Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Tawakkol Karman has called Saudi-led Arab coalition to claim and bear responsibility for the targeting of the funeral hall in the capital Sanaa, which killed 140 people.

Nobel Peace Prize Laureate and human rights activist Tawakkol Karman has reiterated that the Houthi militia bears the direct responsibility for undermining the transition process in Yemen and causing a devastating war to the country.

Of the most important duties of Yemen’s legitimate authority, without which it will have no legitimacy or no one could call it so at all, are treatment of the wounded, care of martyrs’ families,

Nobel Peace Prize Winner and human rights activist Tawakkol Karman has warned against invoking US intervention in Yemen due to the repeated targeting of U.S. Navy ships in the territorial waters of Yemen. 

The human rights activist and Nobel Peace Prize Winner Tawakkol Karman has called upon Yemen’s Riyadh-based legitimate authority and Saudi-led Arab coalition to pay salaries of all Yemeni state employees and provide relief to those affected by the war.
