The human rights activist and Nobel Peace Prize laureate Tawakkol Karman has considered planting hundreds of thousands of landmines in various parts of Yemen

The human rights activist and Nobel Peace Prize laureate Tawakkol Karman has congratulated the Yemeni activist, Fadia Najib Thabet, on being awarded International Women of Courage Award annually presented by the US Department of State. 

The human rights activist and Nobel Peace Prize laureate Tawakkol Karman stressed the need to stop the war launched by ousted President Ali Saleh and the Houthi militia in Yemen, saying that the war will not stop unless making a sustainable peace becomes main goal.

The human rights activist and Nobel Peace Prize laureate Tawakkol Karman has been invited to take part at the 2017 International Speaker Series hosted by the World Affairs Council of Oregon. 

The human rights activist and Nobel Peace Prize laureate Tawakkol Karman has said that no one will be able to stop the Arab Spring after it began, stressing that it has never failed as some alleged. 

The human rights activist and Nobel Peace Prize laureate Tawakkol Karman has stressed that fitting punishment will apply to anyone committing crimes against Yemeni people and that sacrifices Yemenis have made will result in a state that respects the principles of citizenship and the law.

The human rights activist and Nobel Peace Prize laureate Tawakkol Karman has called upon the international community to send urgent international assistance to Yemen after the war has created a major food crisis.
