Nobel Peace Prize Laureate and human rights activist Tawakkol Karman has condemned the Iran-backed Houthi militia and forces loyal to ousted president Ali Abdullah Saleh for firing a missile towards the Holy city of Mecca, explaining that this proves once again that the militia seeks escalation but not peace.  

The human rights activist and Nobel Peace Prize Tawakkol Karman has called upon the UN envoy to Yemen Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed to take actions in order to end the militia’s coup rather than to provide new peace proposals.
