MEXICO CITY – the Nobel Peace Prize laureate Tawakkol Karman and Mexico's Secretary of Public Education, Otto Granados Roldán, today discussed the importance of modern education systems to promote development and achieve the goals and requirements for people to engage in the labor market.

The human rights activist and Nobel Peace Prize laureate Tawakkol Karman has expressed her deepest condolences on the death of British physicist Stephen Hawking. 

At the invitation of Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto, the human rights activist and Nobel Peace laureate Tawakkol Karman today traveled to Mexico to participate in an international festival of culture and leaders on March 15-18.

The human rights activist and Nobel Peace laureate Tawakkol Karman has revealed that a Japanese activist recently informed her that traveling to Yemeni Socotra requires no longer permission from Yemeni authorities, but rather from the UAE. 

The Nobel Peace Prize laureate and human rights activist Tawakkol Karman has blamed Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates for what she described as all massacres and genocide committed against Yemeni people, asserting that the two countries will prosecuted for all they have perpetrated in Yemen.

The human rights activist and Nobel Peace laureate Tawakkol Karman said that Saudi Arabia is keen that Yemen remains stateless by adopting policies detrimental to Yemen and Yemenis.

Tawakkol Karman is a human rights activist, journalist and 2011 Nobel Peace Prize laureate. She was crowned the Mother of the Yemeni Revolution in recognition of her prominent role in advocating and leading the 2011 revolution.
