Today I greet you on the tenth anniversary of the glorious February Revolution.
I greet you all, my brothers and sisters, throughout the Yemeni land.
Peace be upon you; peace be upon our proud and great Yemeni people. I salute each one you, and renew the pledge and promise on the anniversary of the February 11th revolution .. the revolution of dignity, freedom and popular will .. I salute you and renew the pledge to you that we will continue the journey until victory until the flag of Yemen is raised free and high in thedesired Yemeni state, for the sake of which we made it to the streets, the state of citizenship, justice and democracy, the state of the people not the state of subjugation and tyranny.
We have faced the regime of the family subjugation and despotism, when it was disguised under the name of the republic, we faced it when it was a family trying to inherit the republican regime, and we will face its successors and its bombs that exploded over the whole country, whether they are the Houthi dynastic coup that came from the caves of darkness, or the occupation, tutelage and domination of the Saudi and Emirati forces that use and harness client and pliant militias that wallow in the dirt of normalization and shame in order to enable the occupier to dominate Yemen and its resources, ports, islands and wealth.
Yes, we will face the occupation and foreign trusteeship that is leading a fierce war against our dream, our revolution and our country.
They target everything in Yemen
Its revolution, its republic, its state, its unity, its resources, sovereignty and its independence.
The revolution dealt with tolerance with the deposed president and gave him impunity and half the cabinet, but he chose to take revenge on his people and his country and brought in the sectarian Houthi militias, and abetted them in the coup against the state, and in conquering of cities and controlling over stateinstitutions. Events have proven that the ruler was a mere gangster, it was wrong to remain silent leaving them messing with Yemen for three years, let alone for three years, Yes, what we are facing today after the fall of the ousted regime is its sour harvest and his legacy that he bequeathed to our people and our country.
Today we are with the same glowing spirit of February, as it was at the very beginning ten years ago, and as we toppled the ousted and his regime, we will face his legacy, and whatever sacrifices and suffering, our people will not submit to the militias that are so full of fascism, barbarism and foreign tutelage, and will triumph over them.
Sons of our great Yemeni people ..
The February Revolution is our great project for the future of Yemen, and we will reach whatever difficulties in the way of pride and dignity for our people and our country. Why, because it is a revolution that raises democratic values and magnifies the will of the people, for it is the one who chooses its rulers and who holds them accountable and remove them.
We did not commit a crime when we went out responding to the call of dignity and the longing for a decent life. We did not break the laws of life when we looked for a country that speaks in the name of the people and works for the people.
We have believed in our right to life in dignity, our right to justice, democracy and the rule of law. We went out reinforced by our peace and belonging to Yemen and our belonging to humanity.
But the brutality of the counterrevolution that declared war on our country from inside and outside is not the law to which we should submit. The struggle to live in dignity, for justice, for a safe homeland that rules by law and the state of citizenship and democracy will remain our overarching goal.
Six years after the aggressive war against our people, the counter-revolutionary forces want to hold the February revolutionaries responsible of their criminal wars against our people and our country. This is their goal in this war of revenge, to make the words of freedom, dignity, revolution, justice, rule of law, citizenship, democracy and the rule of the people a crime; and held us accountable for that crime, and our revolution and our people are condemned because they demanded and chanted for it and raised them as goals for their revolution ... the revolution of dignity and freedom ... the glorious February 11threvolution
Six long years, and our people and our country are subjected to an internal and external unprecedented brutal war that never known in the world, with the intention of bringing the Yemenis to their knees and forcing them to disavow their right in a country that respects their rights and freedoms, and seeks to achieve their aspirations. It is a war with the intent to harm Yemenis and destroy and split Yemen, there is no doubt about that, but at the same time, it is an attempt to force people to disbelieve in the most brilliant day known in our contemporary history after the September and October revolutions and the achievement of Yemeni unity on May 22, the day the Yemeni people expressed their existence and their great dream and its civilized identity, embodied by the February Revolution, its goals, and the national and moral values it expressed.
What has the Houthi militia accomplished with Iran's support, and what has the militias of the UAE and Saudi Arabia accomplished, except for starvation, killing and displacement, and turning cities into battlefields and prisons for humiliation, oppression and looting?
But we must remember that these militias are supported by Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Iran, no one can deny this. One of the facts in this war is that Saudi Arabia and Iran are hostile to Yemen, from two different locations, but they meet in the realization of their influence over a torn map controlled by militias, and a besieged people subjected to starvation, disruption, displacement and a comprehensive war.
I call for referring war issue in Yemen to the International Criminal Court, or establishing a special tribunal for war crimes in Yemen. I call on the world to take this step, in preparation for punishing the killers and warlords in Yemen, so that we can talk about a good chance for peace.
Today, in light of the US administration and the Europeans’move to stop the war and reach peace in Yemen, this move should be conscious and real, not a superficial move that leads to an end to the war externally, and keeps it internally.
Today, the world is witnessing the barbarism of the Houthi militia on the outskirt of Marib, what does a fascist coup group want from a city crowded with residents and refugees, a city that has always been the pride of Yemenis at all times. The world should open its eyes to see the greed of this militia, its violations, and its role in destabilizing Yemen. Here are the Houthi missiles targeting residential neighborhoods in Marib, Taiz, and Hodiedah, and previously its violations reached Aden, Shabwa and Al Dhale'e. Today, too, the world is watching how militias in the south of the homeland, supported by Saudi Arabia and the UAE, threaten stability by storming government institutions and plundering central bank funds.
The option of stopping the war should not lead to submission to the logic of the militias, not only because they are hostage to the outside, but because they are sectarian, fascist, and hostile to freedoms and human rights, and they practice the utmost levels of hatred and violence.
For us, ending the war means ending the occupation and the Saudi and Emirati tutelage and ending the Houthi militia coup,
Ending of the war means for us the return of Yemen and the Yemeni state to the path of political transition as charted by the February 11th revolution, and on which all the forces and political parties agreed at the National Dialogue Conference. What we refused to accept by war we will not accept with a false peace that would legitimize the Saudi Emirati tutelage, the Houthi coup, and tear Yemen apart into states and sultanates ruled by militias.
Therefore, the Biden administration and the United Nations must ensure completely and clearly that the local militias give up their arms and ambitions, so that the arms are in the hands of the state, in the end there will be no peace and there are nonstate groups that have arms and external support to impose their control on the people.
It is imperative to end the aggressive war waged by the militias, foremost among which is the Houthi militia against their people and their country, and to give up the language of violence and terrorism, and to acknowledge the return of the legitimate state, the State of the Republic of Yemen, and to go with the rest of the forces and parties to a comprehensive national dialogue thatleads to real peace, not a truce that paves the way for the return of war again.
We have the legal and political basis for starting a new phase, which is the transfer of power agreement represented by the "Gulf Initiative", the outcomes of the National Dialogue, and the relevant Security Council resolutions, which emphasized the end of the coup and respect for Yemen's security, stability and unity.
The completion of the transfer of power, the referendum on the new constitution, and holding of elections is the road map that should not be circumvented if we want to get out of this dark tunnel. Unfortunately, this will not be possible through a legitimacy held hostage in Riyadh.
I address my message on the occasion of the tenth anniversary of the February revolution to President Hadi and tell him the following:
The deposed wanted you to be a mock vice president that you would not hear, see, or speak, and the February revolution came and restored your dignity and honored you to be the first man to sit on the presidency with you full will and your decision in your hand, but you betrayed it and colluded to overthrow your country and the republic that you presided over.
Your people wanted you to be president with his own decision-making, and millions of Yemenis voted for you and trusted you ... But you are betraying them today by accepting to remain a hostage in a Saudi palace that Riyadh uses as a false and deceptive address to cover its war against Yemen that has been going on for six years, a war that has nothing to do with legitimacy or the Yemeni state, a war Its aim is to insult the Yemenis, to invade Yemen, to divide it, to occupy its islands and to plunder its wealth. The UAE bombed your army, and described it as terrorism, only with the approval and support of Saudi Arabia.
O sons of our great Yemeni people.
The legitimacy is yours. The legitimacy of the Republic of Yemen, the member state in the United Nations, which the occupiers, the putschist and separatists could not overcome after six years of the dirty war against Yemen. The legitimacy of the Republic of Yemen, which was not enough for the occupier to use its president, government and parties to achieve his goal after years of total war through destruction, siege, starvation, militia financing and a divide-and-rule policy.
The Republic of Yemen is an irreducible reality. Yemen is an ancient country whose existence was associated with the beginning of history.
Our Libyan brothers have triumphed over the counter-revolution, their word has united and regained control of their affairs, and the warlords of the counter-revolution have been broken, disappointed, shamed and disgraced for what they did to their nation, and I see Yemen is marching towards victory and breaking the tyranny of the counter-revolution which is most outrageous and violent in our country, compared to other capitals of the Arab Spring.
Our great people,
We all know how severe and sharp the divisions are, how this fascist war against our people has brought about countless disasters. This war, with all its cruelty and deep wounds, must be a lesson for all of us, our country is great and we can be a strong country if we preserve our pure Yemeni nationalismspirit, and rejected all forms of dictatorship, all religious and other ideologies, and we immunized ourselves against the ideas of power and money thieves with misleading claims. Yemen is the master of itself, and the Yemenis are masters of themselves. This is how logic; science and all the experiences of history say.
Glory to the February Revolutio
And eternity of its righteous martyrs
Glory and honor to our great and proud Yemeni people, and victory for Yemen.
Peace, mercy and blessings of Allah be upon you
