Tawakkol Karman: Syrian People Are in an Open Confrontation with External Occupation
Tawakkol Karman, the Nobel Peace Prize laureate, stated that the Syrian people are in an open confrontation with the brutal Iranian and Russian occupation of their country.
Karman confirmed on her Facebook page that "the survival belongs to the people, and they will achieve victory in the end."
She pointed out that Iran and Russia are not the only ones involved in the genocidal crimes in Aleppo, noting that "the silent world is also complicit to varying degrees, and everyone will pay the price."
It is worth mentioning that the Syrian revolution began with the spark of events in the city of Daraa, where security forces loyal to Bashar al-Assad arrested fifteen children for writing slogans calling for freedom and the overthrow of the regime on the wall of their school on February 26, 2011.
