The Nobel Peace Prize laureate, Tawakkol Karman, sent a message to Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, expressing her confidence that the revolution against him will triumph.

Karman wrote on her Facebook page: "Despite all your brutality and oppression, rest assured, Bashar, that our great revolution in Syria will prevail, and soon we will pray in the Umayyad Mosque."
She concluded with: "I can almost see the moment when we will celebrate in Omayyad Square our great victory. This is an unbroken promise."
