Nobel Peace Prize laureate Tawakkol Karman stated that the rule of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad will end just as the rule of former Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh did.
During her visit yesterday to the "Boynoyojun" camp, one of the refugee camps near the Turkish-Syrian border, which houses around 15,000 Syrian refugees, Karman said that Assad will face trial at the International Criminal Court, and Syrians will achieve justice.
Karman continued that no one will be able to deprive the Syrian people of their freedom, and that it will not take long, signaling the imminent relief of Syrians from Assad’s regime.
Addressing a crowd of refugees inside a large tent used as a mosque, Karman stated that the whole world knows that the Syrians are right, and that the blood that has been shed will not be in vain.
