Nobel Peace Prize-winning human rights activist, Tawakkol Karman, will participate in the third Tbilisi International Women's Conference, which will be held in the Georgian capital, Tbilisi, from June 28 to 30, 2024.

In her speech at the conference, hosted by the President of the Republic of Georgia, Salome Zurabishvili, Karman is scheduled to discuss her ongoing struggle to promote human rights, freedom of expression, and efforts to combat dictatorships and corruption.

Karman is also expected to address the role of women in shaping the new world order and present solutions to enhance comprehensive dialogue and cooperation between peoples. She will explore the best ways to address conflicts and promote peace.

The third annual Tbilisi International Women's Conference, themed "Beyond Conflict and Occupation," will once again offer a dynamic platform for inclusive dialogue and collaboration to rethink approaches for addressing conflict and occupation. 

The Tbilisi International Women's Conference (TWIC) is designed as a novel space for discussion, eliminating the traditional division between speakers and the audience by opening the floor to every woman. It brings together heads of state and government, ministers, leaders of international and non-governmental organizations, and representatives from media, industry, and society.

By providing a unified space for direct dialogue, the conference allows women from all backgrounds and experiences to share their knowledge, expertise, and visions. This inclusive approach aims to foster a collaborative environment where participants can voice their ideas and contribute to shaping a more equitable and peaceful future.
