Human rights advocate and Nobel Peace Prize laureate Tawakkol Karman will join a distinguished panel at the 19th edition of the Festival dell'Economia in Trento, Italy, from May 23rd to 26th.
The festival, themed "QUO VADIS? The Dilemmas of Our Time," will see Karman participate in a dialogue session titled "Born to be Happy: Children's Rights" alongside fellow peace advocate Enzo Corsio and Enzo Fortunato, the official spokesperson of St. Peter's Basilica.
Karman's participation underscores the festival's commitment to addressing critical global challenges. In her speech, she is expected to highlight the devastating impact of war on innocent civilians, particularly children, and advocate for their rights and future. She will also address broader concerns about the future of humanity and the need for collective action to address pressing issues.
The Festival dell'Economia, organized by the 24 ORE Group and Trentino Marketing in collaboration with the Municipality and the University of Trento, will delve into a range of crucial topics including climate change, economic development, inflation, public debt, energy transition, demographic challenges, and the relationship between populism and democracies.
The four-day event will feature a diverse lineup of speakers from academia, economics, and business, offering thought-provoking perspectives and potential solutions to these complex global dilemmas. The festival promises to be a vibrant hub of intellectual exchange, fostering insightful discussions and innovative ideas.
