Nobel laureate labels ICJ's decision on Israeli atrocities historic
Nobel Peace Prize laureate and human rights advocate, Tawakkol Karman, expressed profound appreciation for the ruling recently delivered by the International Court of Justice.
The decision pertains to Israeli actions classified as acts of genocide against the residents of the Gaza Strip, marking a historic moment and a significant victory for those affected by the atrocities inflicted by the occupying forces.
In a statement posted on her official Facebook page, Tawakkol Karman articulated, "In a historic decision that triumphs for the victims of the massacres perpetrated by the Israeli occupation in Gaza, the International Court of Justice acknowledges South Africa's right to file a lawsuit against Israel on charges of genocide, rejects Israel's request to dismiss the case, and affirms its determination to take urgent and immediate measures to protect the Palestinians.
