Tawakkol Karman challenges Netanyahu's claims on Gaza's al-Shifa hospital as falsehoods
In a clear refutation of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's statements, Nobel Peace Prize-winning human rights advocate Tawakkol Karman has strongly refuted the claims made by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his government regarding Al-Shifa Hospital.
Karman's explicit statements on her official social media page have presented a remarkable counterargument, asserting that the justifications provided by Netanyahu for the actions taken at Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza have been exposed as falsehoods.
Taking to her official social media page, Karman asserted without ambiguity, "There are no tunnels beneath the hospital, and there is no command center for Hamas there, nor are there hostages. All the justifications provided by Netanyahu and his government for committing the crime of storming Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza have become evident to the world as mere falsehoods."
On Wednesday, the Israeli occupation army carried out a forceful incursion into multiple departments of Al-Shifa Medical Hospital in the Gaza Strip, following their earlier announcement of a sensitive operation within the hospital premises.
According to Reuters, the Israeli occupation alleged that Hamas fighters were utilizing sections of Al-Shifa Hospital as hiding places. These accusations echo similar claims made during the 2008-2009 war, a devastating conflict that resulted in the tragic loss of over 1,400 Palestinian lives and 13 Israeli lives.
The raid on Al-Shifa Hospital has raised grave concerns regarding the safety of patients and medical staff, especially considering the severe shortages of essential supplies already being faced. However, these claims made by the Israeli occupation army regarding the presence of Hamas fighters and weapons within the hospital have been strongly disputed by both hospital staff and Hamas officials.
