The Nobel Peace Prize-winning human rights activist and journalist paid tribute to women everywhere for International Women's Day, which is celebrated every year on 8 March.

In a post to her Facebook page, Tawakkol Karman stated: "Women advance, strive, find happiness, and live in peace every day of the year. Best wishes for women on their international day!"
