Counter-revolution brings war, hunger and death to Yemen, Mrs. Karman says
The human rights activist and Nobel Peace laureate, Tawakkol Karman, has congratulated the revolutionaries of Yemen on the 12th anniversary of the February 11 revolution, as its date approaches.
In a comment posted on her official Facebook page on this occasion, Tawakkol Karman wrote: “Glorious February, comrades of the great struggle. It’s true that the Iranian- and Saudi-backed counter-revolution has triumphed over us, but it is a false victory that brought nothing but civil war, hunger and death to our people.”
Mrs. Karman has affirmed that those affected by the counter-revolution, together with the great February revolutionaries, will retake the lead and will one day make an undefeatable revolution that would lead its people to freedom, democracy and prosperity.
