Nobel laureate visits Korean demilitarized zone
Accompanied by her fellow colleagues, the Nobel Peace Prize-winning human rights activist Tawakkol Karman today paid a visit to the Korean demilitarized zone.
In a statement on her official Facebook page, Tawakkol Karman pointed out that the visit was aimed to invite and encourage the two countries to move forward in achieving peace, stability and coexistence and achieving unity among the two States.
Karman explained that the visit is a part of 18th World Summit of Nobel Peace Laureates that will kick off on December 12 in Pyeongchang, Gangwon Province, house of the 2018 Olympic Winter Games, and will last for three days.
