The Nobel Peace Prize-winning human rights activist Tawakkol Karman has headed to Amsterdam to take part in the International Children's Peace Prize 2022 on Monday.
Launched in 2005 during the World Summit of Nobel Peace Laureates in Rome, the prestigious prize is annually presented by a Nobel Peace Prize Laureate.
It is awarded to a child who fights courageously for children’s rights, with the aim of providing a platform for children to express their ideas and personal involvement in children’s rights.
In 2021, the 17th International Children’s Peace Prize presented by the 2014 Nobel laureate Kailash Satyarthi was awarded to Delhi brothers Vihaan (17) and Nav (14) Agarwal.
