The Nobel Peace Prize-winning human rights activist, Tawakkol Karman, has stressed the fact that dire consequences and tragedies in Yemen are mainly attributed to the Houthi militia coup and the devastating war led by Saudi Arabia.
In a statement on her official Facebook page, Karman wrote: "Eight years ago, on a day like today, the fascist Houthi group affiliated with Iran and with the blessing of the UAE and the aging Saudi monarchy overthrew the Yemeni State, and subsequently Yemen entered into a devastating war led by Saudi Arabia.”
She continued that Yemen is still suffering much from the ravages of the coup, adding that Yemenis are aware about who are their enemies and killers, and that a day will come when the perpetrators are held accountable for their crimes, noting that the Yemeni people will inevitably cross towards the banks of freedom and democracy sooner or later.
