The Nobel Peace Prize-winning human rights activist Tawakkol Karman has condemned the abuse against the Yemeni journalist Ahmed Maher at the hands of the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council militia in Aden.

“I strongly condemn abduction, terrorism, torture and repression against journalist Ahmed Maher in Aden by agents and militias of the war criminals, Mohammed bin Salman and Mohammed bin Zayed, and call on all human rights organizations and activists to condemn this crime as well”, said Tawakkol Karman in a statement on her official Facebook page.
