The Nobel Peace Prize-winning human rights activist Tawakkol Karman has expressed its sincere condolences on the death of Yemeni novelist Walid Dammaj, who passed away while still being at the top of his literary career.

In a statement of condolences on her official Facebook page, Tawakkol Karman has hailed the deceased novelist as being visionary in the filed of literature and as a man of principle, adding: “May Allah have mercy on Walid Dammaj and may his soul rest in peace”.
