Nobel laureate heads to Washington to participate in ceremony to rename street in front of Saudi embassy after Jamal Khashoggi
The Nobel Peace Prize-winning activist, Tawakkol Karman, has headed to Washington in order to participate in a ceremony to renaming the street in front of the Saudi embassy after Jamal Khashoggi, as a reminder of the heinous murder of journalist Jamal at the hands of the Saudi state.
In a statement on social media, Tawakkol Karman mentioned that many members of the US Congress and high-ranking officials will attend the event.
