The Nobel Peace Prize-winning human rights activist, Tawakkol Karman, has mourned the death of Yemeni parliament member Sheikh Hussein Abdullah bin Hussein al-Ahmar.

In a mourning statement shared on her official Facebook page, Tawakkol Karman wrote: “My deepest condolences and sympathy to Sheikh Sadiq al-Ahmar and his brothers and all members of their family and relatives on the death of their brother Sheikh Hussein Abdullah bin Hussein al-Ahmar. God's mercy! To Allah we belong and to Him is our return.”
