Mrs. Karman Calls on Saudi Arabia to Allow Muslims to Exercise their Religious Freedom
The Nobel Peace Prize-winning human rights activist, Tawakkol Karman, has sharply criticized the Saudi Ministry of Islamic Affairs' decision to ban the transmission or broadcast of prayers in various media outlets during the month of Ramadan.
In a statement on social media, Tawakkol Karman has called the Saudi Crown Prince and “his aging monarchy” to allow Muslims there to exercise their religious freedom without any restrictions on the performance or expression of their religious rituals.
