Tawakkol Karman: Executions in Egypt are extension of global conspiracy against January 25 revolution
The Nobel Peace Prize-winning human rights activist, Tawakkol Karman, stated that the executions in Egypt are simply an extension of a global conspiracy against the January 25 revolution.
In a speech at the global conference "Stop Executions in Egypt" held in Canada, Mrs. Karman indicated that they (executions) are part of enormous efforts to undermine and overthrow the January revolution and its gains.
“The Egyptian revolution was not just a passing revolution. Indeed, it is the heart of Arab nation and spring, which has been subject to a great and treacherous stab,” she noted.
“Murderers and criminals are numerous, such as El Sisi and mercenaries around him and decision-makers of Abu Dhabi and Riyadh, in addition to some Western capitals that involved and blessed the plot.”
It is not shame on the revolution to be exposed to conspiracy, relapse or even failure, she continued, adding that all this is a mere page of peoples’ struggle towards freedom.
“We are fighters for freedom, while those are killers who oppress peoples’ freedoms and dreams. We are heroes and they criminals. This is how history will remind us and them, she concluded.
