Tawakkol Karman condemns terrorist attacks on Aden International Airport
The Nobel Peace Prize-winning human rights activist, Tawakkol Karman, has condemned today’s terrorist attacks on Aden’s International Airport, which coincided with the arrival of Yemen’s new government.
In a statement of condemnation on her official Twitter account, Tawakkol Karman described the attacks on the international airport in the Yemeni temporary capital, Aden, upon the arrival of the newly formed government as “terrorist”.
“Today’s terrorist attacks on Aden’s airport upon the government’s arrival prove that terrorism is at peace with the UAE, its militia and forces in Aden, and that terrorism is also one of its tools,” Tawakkol Karman wrote.
Karman also expressed her condemnation of what she called the states and the affiliated militias behind the bombings at the airport.
At least 26 people were killed and more than 100 people were wounded in the attacks on Wednesday, according to local medical sources.
