Tawakkol Karman participates in One Billion Acts of Peace Campaign
The Nobel Peace Prize-winning human rights activist, Tawakkol Karman, has participated via video link in the 2020 Billion Acts of Peace Awards Ceremony organized by the Peace Jam, with the participation of 6 inspiring people.
Tawakkol Karman congratulated the young Nyeeam Hudson, most inspirational youth influencer, on his campaign that shed light on the issue of education.
Karman expressed her thanks to Nyeeam for what she described as his wonderful works, inspiring people and motivating them to believe in themselves, predicting that he will travel the world, carrying with him his message that gives hope to dozens of children.
Naeem Hudson, born in New Jersey, known as "King Nah" fights through social media the phenomenon of bullying and urges education and not fear of falling into mistakes or problems, providing simple advice and stressing three principles: enjoy your life, appreciate your accomplishments, help others.
The ‘One Billion Acts of Peace’ Campaign is international global citizens’ movement designed to tackle the most important problems facing our planet.
The campaign allows the participant to mobilize the community, school, or institution around an event, meet the needs in any area, or set a goal to create an impact on one or more billion of issues and work towards achieving them.
The key issues highlighted by the campaign include advancement of women and children, alleviation of extreme poverty, clean water for all, conflict resolution, education and community development, ending racism and hatred, global health, human rights, disarmament and non-proliferation, environmental protection.
