The Nobel Peace Prize winning activist Tawakkol Karman has welcomed the European Union’s decision on the human rights situation in Egypt.

In a statement on her official Twitter account, Tawakkol Karman described the European Union’s decision on the human rights situation in Egypt as “a step in the right direction”.

She indicated that Sisi's regime is of a military, fascist, and authoritarian nature and therefore “it should be held in contempt by all governments, organizations and individuals.”
