On Monday, the Nobel Peace Prize-winning human rights activist, Tawakkol Karman, will participate in a global summit at the invitation of the Secretary-General of NATO and the Munich Security Conference.

Tawakkol Karman will deliver a speech at the 2030 NATO Youth Summit organized by NATO and the Munich Conference, with the participation of German Chancellor Angela Merkel and the prime ministers of Britain, Canada, Spain and the Netherlands.

Bringing in a wide range of voices from the military, civil society and academia, a particular focus will be placed on the importance of local actors and civil-military cooperation for securing local ownership, legitimacy and durability of stabilization processes.
