The Nobel Peace Prize-winning human rights activist, Tawakkol Karman, has expressed her congratulations to Democratic Party candidate Joe Biden on his victory in the US presidential election.

In her official Twitter account, Tawakkol Karman tweeted: “Congratulations to the American people. Congratulations to Joe Biden as the 46th President of the United States!”

After four days of waiting, the Democratic candidate, Joe Biden, was today announced to be the winner after having 273 Electoral Votes, surpassing the 270-majority needed to win the presidency, thanks to the votes coming from Pennsylvania, according to the major American media like CNN and the New York Times.
