Inclusive education should be a special concern to international community, Nobel laureate says
The Nobel Peace Prize-winning human rights activist Tawakkol Karman took part in First Central Asia Nobel Fest Live hosted by non-profit organization Inclusive Development Foundation (IDF) in Kazakhstan.
During the opening session of the festival titled "Towards a comprehensive education", Tawakkol Karman said that the international community may lose much of what has been achieved in previous years due to the emerging "Covid-19".
"Inclusive education must be a special concern to the entire international community," Karman added.
She stressed the need for realizing that comprehensive education cannot be achieved individually, rather through joint efforts of international NGOs and government agencies.
The participants agreed upon the fact that education is increasingly being viewed as one of the necessary solutions to the world's economic problems.
The focus of the global festival, which continues until October 4, is on four main areas: The future of human capital, technologies that change the world, new prospects for science and medicine, inclusive economy and sustainable development.
