Tawakkol Karman calls on Islamic Islah party members to change leadership under house arrest in Riyadh
The Nobel Peace Prize-winning human rights activist, Tawakkol Karman, congratulated the Islah party on its 30th anniversary.
In a post shared on social media, Tawakkol Karman wrote to say: “Big greetings to the members of the Islah party and its supporters on the 30th anniversary of founding of their pioneering party."
“You are expected to change your ageing leadership that has become a mere puppet of Riyadh that is practicing the worst forms of occupation and violations in Yemen,” she said.
“For your party to become more dynamic and youthful, express the aspirations and dreams of our people and defends the country's sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity, you need to bring about changes within it”, she concluded.
