Tawakkol Karman participates in GEM
On Monday, the Nobel Peace Prize winning human rights activist Tawakkol Karman will participate in the Global Empowerment Meeting (GEM), organized by the Center for International Development (CID) of Harvard University.
Tawakkol Karman will deliver a speech during a session entitled "Overcoming Polarization in Diverse Nations."
The event will also be joined by the governor of Antioquia (2012-2015), Sergio Fajardo, Chancellor of Mandela University, Geraldine Fraser Molletti, and CEU President, Michael Ignatieff.
It is worth noting that the Global Empowerment Meeting (GEM) is a thought-provoking event that highlights the latest work in international development, in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.
