Tawakkol Karman at global conference: Discrimination against peoples lead to destructive and protracted wars and conflicts
The Nobel Peace Prize winning human rights activist Tawakkol Karman stressed that discrimination against peoples has led to destructive and protracted wars and conflicts,
calling for clear positions against closed and narrow-minded regimes and groups that seek to prevent any rapprochement or coexistence between people, and against every divisive calls for economic or political gains.
This came in a speech during a videoconference session entitled "Overcoming Polarization in diverse Nations" at the "Global Empowerment Conference" organized by the Center for International Development (CID) of Harvard University.
