Nobel Peace Prize Laureate and human rights activist Tawakkol Karman has expressed condolences for the death of the leader in Yemen’s Socialist Party Mused al-Haddi, saying that Yemen has lost one of the most prominent strugglers for freedom.
“I extend my deep condolences to the family and all comrades of al-Haddi and all Yemeni people for his death”, Karman wrote on social media.
She noted that Yemeni people have lost one of those who have dedicated their lives to struggling for freedom in Yemen.
Yemeni Socialist Party issued, on Friday, a statement mourning the death of its central committee’s member Mused al-Haddi, describing him as a fighter who “passed away after a lifetime of giving and fighting for freedom, justice and revolutionary values”.
It is worth mentioning that the Houthi militia and forces loyal to ousted president Ali Abdullah had kidnapped the late socialist al-Haddi ten days ago on charges of involvement in the Popular Resistance and activity against the militias in Damt district in southern province of Addalea. Three days later, however, they released him.
