The human rights advocate and Nobel Peace Prize Winner Tawakkol Karman has strongly condemned the attack on the head of “Association of Faculty Members and their Assistants” at Sana'a University, Dr. Mohammed Al Dhahiri and his colleagues by the Iran-backed Houthi militia.
In a post published on her Facebook account, Karman stated that the attack on the academics of Sana’a University is a new crime added to the long list of crimes committed by the fascist Houthi militia.
Mrs. Karman expressed full solidarity with Dr. Al Dhahiri and his colleagues, saying, "May the eyes of cowards never sleep!"
Local media reported that armed elements belonging to the Houthi militia committed, yesterday morning, an assault on the president and members of the administrative board of the association at University of Sana’a during a consultative meeting convened at Faculty of Arts in order to discuss how they could address the problem of salaries that have not paid for three months.
