Human rights activist and Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Tawakkol Karman has headed for the Polish capital Warsaw at the invitation of Polish Foreign Minister.
Karman, in a post shared on her personal Facebook page, said she will take part in an international conference hosted in the capital of Warsaw on dialogue and democracy.
The fifth conference on dialogue for democracy will take place on 15-16 December in Warsaw under the theme “from past to future: strengthening democratic values.”
The 5th edition of the Warsaw Dialogue for Democracy presents an opportunity to shed light on many issues regarding democracy and fundamental freedoms.
Additionally, the conference will mainly concentrate on universal values representing absolute necessity for stable democracy such as justice, tolerance, transparency and human rights.
The event will also give an opportunity for participants to present possible avenues to democracy by sharing their own experiences.
