Nobel Peace laureate and human rights activist Tawakkol Karman has strongly condemned the Houthi-Saleh militia for targeting civilians in Beer Basha district of Taiz province.
"The massacre confirms that the coup’s Houthi-Saleh alliance is haunted by the idea of revenge against Taiz because of its role in the popular uprising and preserving the national identity," wrote Karman on social media.
At least three civilians were killed and seven others, including children, were seriously wounded in artillery shelling by Houthis on a residential neighborhood in Taiz city, southwestern Yemen.
Pictures circulated by activists on social media showed the scenes of bloodshed, scattered bodies and injured people.
