The Nobel Peace laureate Tawakkol Karman today arrived in Madrid to participate in an international conference organized by the Guatemalan Women's Association.
The event run by the president of the Guatemalan Women's Association, Mercedes Hernandez, at the social and cultural center of La Casa Encendida in Madrid will be attended by many women, political and social figures.
The fourth edition of the "Women against Impunity" lecture series will be held on September 28.

Mrs. Tawakkol Karman has become the visible face of the Arab Spring since it erupted in 2011 when she organized and led non-violent protests against the dictatorship which had ruled the nation with an iron fist for 33 years.
