The Nobel Peace Prize laureate and human rights activist Tawakkol Karman said the Islamic state(IS) has emerged and grown up because the world did not listen to the voices coming from the countries of the Arab Spring.
This came in an interview made by the well-known Spanish radio program, Hoy Por Hoy, on the sidelines of the international conference entitled “Women against Immunity" organized by the Guatemalan Women's Association in Madrid.
"All dictators are terrorists and vice versa," said Mrs. Karman, stressing that without freedom of the press, there is no democracy.
She added: “we must continue fighting for the achievement of full freedom of expression”.
In response to a question about her most inspiring people, she said, “the youth and courageous women in Yemen is our real inspiration.”
Mrs. Karman mentioned that many women have won many battles in recent times, pointing out that this is only the beginning.
