Nobel laureate condemns assassination of senior party leader in Yemen
The human rights activist ad Nobel Peace Prize laureate Tawakkol Karman has condemned in the strongest possible terms the assassination of a party leader in Yemen’s southern city of Aden.
Two gunmen on motorcycle opened fire on Shawki Kamadi, a senior member of Islamist Islah Party while he was driving in Mualla district in Aden, killing him immediately, according to local media sources.
Mrs. Karman, in a post on her Facebook account today, indicated that the UAE explicitly accused the UAE of being behind the repeated assassinations in southern areas.
"But our people are much stronger than killers," she added.
Karman pointed out that both crown princes of Riyadh and Abu Dhabi, Mohammed bin Salman and Mohammed bin Zayed will be held accountable for all crimes against Yemenis.
She her condolences to the family and all loved ones of Kamadi.
