Saudi Anwar Eshqi calls for dividing Yemen, Tawakkol Karman ridicules
The Nobel Peace Prize laureate and human rights activist, Tawakkol Karman, has strongly criticized an adviser to the Saudi Royal Court, Anwar Eshki, against a backdrop of remarks in which he proposed dividing Yemen into two northern and southern parts.
In a statement published on Twitter yesterday, the senior Saudi official suggested that Yemen’s problem could be solved by dividing the country into two separated regions, each of which could be administratively independent.
If so, Saudi Arabia also needs to be divided not only into two parts, but into several parts, each of them could be administratively independent,” the Nobel laureate proposed in response to Eshqi’s remarks.
