Tawakkol Karman salutes women everywhere on International Women's Day
The human rights activist and Nobel Peace Prize laureate Tawakkol Karman has paid tribute to Yemeni women and all women worldwide on the occasion of International Women’s Day, which is celebrated on March 8 every year.
"On International Women's Day, I salute Yemeni women, who have really become a strong bastion of their society at a time when all these catastrophes and adversity take place," wrote Mrs. Karman on her Facebook page today.
She sent greetings to women everywhere, stressing that they are alone facing a great deal of hardship and tribulations caused by the fascist coup and the Saudi-UAE alliance of evil.
She concluded her statement by saying: “Greetings to women everywhere as they are struggling for free societies where everyone enjoys equal rights and for nations free from tyranny and corruption.”
