Nobel laureate applauds protest demonstration in Aden demanding Saudis and Emiratis to leave
The human rights activist and Nobel Peace laureate Tawakkol Karman has applauded the demonstration taking place today in Yemen’s interim capital of Aden to demand the departure of the Saudi-led Arab coalition, which allegedly intervened in Yemen to support the legitimacy there.
"Aden has taken to the streets in protest against the crimes of the coalition and its brutality,” Karman wrote on social media, paying attribute to the administrators for their peaceful struggle.
On Friday, after Friday prayer, the port city of Aden witnessed spontaneous demonstrations demanding the departure of the Arab coalition, calling on the legitimate government to provide basic services and security at least.
They marched through the streets of the Kreiter district in Aden chanting slogans against both the legitimate government and the Arab coalition.
The protestors also called on the Yemeni government to release the political detainees who have been arrested by the UAE forces in Aden for nothing but being not loyal to the UAE forces, which is accused of tampering with the security and stability of the country.
