Nobel laureate: Taiz witnesses new coup against legitimacy
The human rights activist and Nobel Peace laureate Tawakkol Karman said Taiz province- in southwestern Yemen- is witnessing a new coup against the legitimacy, stressing that this is a natural result of dependency on terrorists in the war against the Iranian-backed Houthi militia.
Armed clashes between security units belonging to the province’s security institution and the militants of Abu al-Abbas backed by the United Arab Emirates, who refused to vacate their positions.
"Dependency on terrorist groups such as Hani bin Braik group, Abu al-Abbas brigades and others instead on the national army to fight against the Houthi putschists is nothing but a new coup against the state and legitimacy," Tawakkol Karman wrote on social media.
Mrs. Karman emphasized that dirty means never lead to noble ends.
