Tawakkol Karman commenting on remarks by Yemen’s Transport Minister: Liberated areas are under UAE-Saudi trusteeship
Commenting on remarks by Yemen’s pro-government Minister of Transport, who stated that the Aden airport with respect to security is not under the control of the government, Nobel Peace Prize laureate and human rights activist Tawakkol Karman stressed that Aden airport has been in control of the UAE.
"According to the Yemeni Transport Minister, the Yemeni government does not control Aden airport," Karman said in a statement on Twitter.
She, however, criticized the minister for not disclosing that the legitimate government also does not control even a fraction of the areas liberated from the Houthi militia, stressing that they all have been under the occupation, hegemony and trusteeship of the UAE and Saudi Arabia.
It is noteworthy that the Minister of Transport of Yemen’s internationally recognized government, Saleh Al Jabwani, said in a press statement on Sunday that the government does not control Aden airport, hinting that the UAE is the authority.
