Nobel laureate praises Oman for medical assistance
The Nobel Peace Prize laureate and human rights activist Tawakkol Karman has praised the officials in Oman for their efforts and and keenness to provide medical assistance to a number of the wounded coming from Yemen,
particularly from Taiz province, where fierce battles have been taking place between the pro-government resistance and the Iranian-backed Houthi militia for three years.
"A great welcome to our brothers in Oman, who have received the wounded of Taiz as heroes, honoring and taking care of them and contributing to their treatment," said Mrs. Karman in a statement on Twitter.
At least 150 wounded of Yemeni national army in Taiz yesterday arrived in the port of Mazyona in Oman to complete their travel to India for treatment.
