The Nobel Peace Prize laureate and human rights activist Tawakkol Karman has confirmed that a democratic secular state is the solution to get rid of clerical rule in all its forms.

"A secular democratic state is the solution," said Karman in a statement on Facebook.

She explained that secularism and democracy are the key to dismiss clerical rule and put an end to all forms of chaos.

A day when secularism and democracy prevail will inevitably come, she emphasized.
