Tawakkol Karman criticizes Saudi Arabia's decision to prevent Yemeni refugees from education in Saudi schools
The Nobel Peace Prize winner Tawakkol Karman has criticized the decision by the Saudi Education Ministry to ban Yemenis from education in Saudi government schools.
Karman said this decision violates the international laws and norms.
"The big sister who launched a global war on Yemen is depriving the children of Yemeni refugees from education," said Tawakkol Karman, on her official Facebook page.
Karman added: "This old kingdom violates all international laws and norms and before that the right of neighborhood, the right of Islam and Arabism.”
The Saudi Ministry of Education issued a decision not to accept the registration or transfer of female students who hold a visitor visa, and the Syrian and Yemeni students who come to the Kingdom on a visiting visa or government visas but it allows them to study at their expense in private and foreign schools.
